Nancy Chapman is an entrepreneur and a leader within the fair industry. She did her first fair in 1982 at the California State Fair, and today she runs four successful fair routes with 15 to 20 employees. She is one of only three vendors to have been at every Cowboy Christmas in Las Vegas since its inception.
A Family Business
Nancy, along with her daughter Tara, owns and operates Chapman Jewelry, a multi-generational retail business at fairs and rodeos. They showcase at some of the country's highest-attended shows, including the Orange County Fair, the San Diego County Fair, the National Finals Rodeo, and many more.
A Leader in the Fair Industry
Nancy has a passion for creating and maintaining policies for strong and diverse commercial fair programs. She has pushed to eliminate predatory selling techniques, implement transparent merchandise return programs, and establish better communication between vendors and fair management.
She has gone beyond the fairs to be an active participant in NICA, IAFE, and WFA, and has been a speaker at all three of their conventions on best practices for commercial exhibitors. She has volunteered with WFA and NICA, won the Blue Ribbon Award with WFA as well as the Barham Award, and is a current member of the Commercial Exhibits Council for NICA.
Home Base
Nancy, Tara, and their dog Dixie live in the small town of Oakhurst, CA, where they spend their time when not on the road. They ship out orders year-round from their shop.
